The Staff of West Main

Since 1991, Bruce has served as Pastor of West Main Baptist Church.  He grew up the son of an Army officer and lived throughout the United States.  Bruce received his Bachelor's degree from Samford University and his Master's of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  He is married to Cathy, who is a physical therapist, and they have two children, Evan, a Danville police officer, and Hannah, who works for a health media group in Charlotte.  Bruce's interests include reading, the St. Louis Cardinals, being around children and youth and fiddling with his Apple computer.

Jamie Williford - Minister to Students and Young Adults

Jamie received his Bachelor's Degree from Southern Miss and his Master's of Divinity degree from McAfee School of Theology in Atlanta GA.  He hails from Biloxi, Mississippi.  He loves coffee, cooking, Apple Computers, and good Sci-Fi movies.  Jamie recently married Hannah.  They live downtown in a very cool loft.

Billie Jo is to West Main what the Wizard was to Oz.  She may be behind the scenes, but she is the driving force behind many of the church's activities.  Rumor has it that BJ actually writes many of Bruce's sermons!  Since 1995, BJ has brightened the West Main halls with her smile and Gretna accent. She is a graduate of Gretna High School and holds an Associates degree in Applied Science from Danville Community College. She is married to Todd Reynolds and has one son, Jacob.

Sherry aptly juggles two jobs at West Main. She began working with WEE Center in 1991 and has been the director since 2002. She also took on the role of Communications Secretary in 2000. Sherry and her husband, Donald, have two children, Donny and Caitlin. She also has two wonderful dogs, Cassy and Zoe. Sherry enjoys taking afternoon walks and baking yummy goodies.

Anne Beyer - Coordinator of Church Life (part time)

After a long career in retail, Ann Beyer joined the West Main staff to help out with organizing church events.  Ann is known for her high spirits, her joyful sense of humor and her cat, Tracker.  She makes things happen and is a favorite with the youth.
